Proper equipment for checking temperature
and indoor humidity levels are essential during any home check.
|

|
| Using a moisture meter to verify "wet" spots. |
Moisture meters are expensive but esential in identifing if a stain is "wet". Every home watch person
should carry one.
|
Home watch service is often described as a "mini home / mold inspection". It benefits
the home owner to hire professionals for the job.
Water damage from moisture
intrusion is generally the largest concern of absentee homeowners in Bonita Springs.
A Bonita Springs home watch service
should be able to identify moisture intrusion in your home and the proper way to do that is by using equipment design for
that purpose. Moisture meters and infrared thermal imaging cameras are a must for the serious home watch company.
Most home watch businesses can not afford to invest in the equipment to properly check your Bonita Springs home for moisture
problems. Low end infrared cameras are several thousand dollars and then experience using them is essential.
Mold Inspection companies use infrared
cameras and moisture meters on a daily basis and are trained and experienced in finding and identifying moisture - mold problems.

Your home is one of largest investments you will ever make, protect your investment while
your away.
Whether you're leaving your home for a vacation or for the season, you should be confident
in knowing that your home is in good hands. On-site monitoring will give you piece of mind so you can relax a little
easier.
In Florida, moisture comes at your home from every direction; hurricanes and wind driven rain to
excessive humidity. When you're not home you should have someone trustworthy check your home.
- Was there damage or water intrusion after a hurricane or tropical storm?
- Did the condo above or beside ours have a water intrusion that is
damaging our unit?
- Is the A/C working? (storms can trip breakers)
- Is the AC removing the moisture from the air (humidity)
- Is my home secure?
- If I had a problem, who would take care of it?

There is peace
of mind in having the right home watch service.
These photos were added not to scare anyone;
but we see these problems daily in our mold inspection business. There are thousands of Condos in the Estero, Bonita
Springs and North Naples area and most never have a problem. Home owners need to be aware of the small problems in their
home as soon as possible because as the problem "grows" the cost of repairs increases dramatically.

Our newest Infrared Thermal Imaging camera is the B360.
|
We can use an infrared thermal imaging camera during our check of your home if we find
any suspect conditions.
Infrared Thermal Imaging
cameras are very helpful in finding water intrusion in a home that often is not visible to the naked eye. This is a
non intrusive method that should be verified by a moisture meter. Though thermal imaging cameras are very useful most
inspectors don't have them. Our cameras are about $18,000. , and are not economical for the average inspector.

Radon & Mold Professionals provides dozens of home inspectors with environmental
testing an inspection services.
Experienced Home Inspector Ray Biron of Pro View Home Inspections always
hires Radon & Mold Professionals for Environmental issues. Mold Inspections and testing should be conducted by AmIAQC
board Certified Indoor Environmentalists (CIE) to protect the clients interest. Mold Inspectors in Naples, Bonita Springs,
Estero, Cape Coral and Ft Myers should carry $1 million in liability with Errors and Omissions insurance to protect everyone
involved.
You do not want a home labeled as having a "mold problem" because an inspector did not know what
he was doing. Mold assessment is NOT part of any home inspection "standard of practice".
